Live Preview for Google Fonts Extension
In addition to the data described on the page https://hurry-up-and-buy.com/en/privacy-policy-en/ , our Chrome extension
“Live Preview for Google Fonts” collects and processes the following information,
solely to operate the extension’s free trial and paid licensing:
Data we collect locally (stored in your Chrome profile via chrome.storage.sync):
- A first-launch timestamp used to count the 30-day free trial.
- A randomly generated device identifier (UUID) used to bind a paid
license to your device. - Your Google account email address, read via Chrome’s
chrome.identity
API, used to bind a paid license to your account. - A license token issued by our server after a successful purchase.
- Your replacement preferences and per-site settings (font choices,
weights, sizes). These never leave your device.
Data sent to our server (hurry-up-and-buy.com):
- When you click “Activate” with a purchased key: your license key, the
device identifier above, your Google account email. - During periodic license validation (about once per day): the
license token and the device identifier.
That data is used exclusively to validate your purchase, prevent license
sharing, and provide support. We do not sell it, share it with third
parties, or use it for advertising.
Data we never collect: the content of pages you visit, your browsing
history, form input, or anything entered on websites. The extension only
inspects the styles of the page on your screen for the purpose of
detecting fonts.
Removing your data: you can deactivate the extension at any time from
its Options page (removes the license token from your device) or by
uninstalling the extension (removes all local data). To delete server-
side records of your license entirely, please email us at the support
address above.
